Vintage Hammersley for T. Goode, 2x serving plates with warming domes, 1930s. Dresden Sprays.
Two beautiful serving dishes and domes. Though used these are in great condition and quite unusual to come across. One of the base plates has an almost imperceptible spot on the gilding to the rim which is slightly raised to the touch but which is not a chip. Please see photograph. It appears to be a small blemish in the original application and is minute.
Lovely blue/gilt-surround trellis pattern with flowers and gilt highlights. The plates have a ribbed inner to fit the domes and prevent them moving. The domes have distinctly styled finials, presumably to know which are the eggs and which the bacon. Beautiful pieces, thoughtfully made.
