1883 Shield Nickel, Proof, Early Type Coin 0608-05

Description

1883 Shield Nickel, Proof.  Few if any noticeable marks and surfaces of a Choice Proof or better.  This was long stored in a vinyl flip so the surfaces are a bit off from old PVC contamination (which has been removed).  The Obverse is mostly bright with obvious watery Proof surfaces, some flecky spotting.  The Reverse is a bit dull and was possibly very lightly cleaned (wiped) as is typical of almost all Shield Nickels below the Gem grade level.  Very minor spotting on one area of the rim, as shown. Not worth submitting for certification as it would almost certainly come back "Net" graded, so offered here at the value equivalent to a low end Proof.  If you chose to submit this, I guarantee that this will certify as a Proof.  I am happy to combine shipping for multiple items – for best service please use the ebay Shopping Cart feature in my ebay Store and ASK FOR A COMBINED INVOICE before payment.   0608-05
