1872 SHIELD NICKEL MISSING MUCH OF MOTTO, VERY FINE/EXTREMELY FINE (VF/EF)

Description

A somewhat dark 1872 Shield Nickel that I grade Very Fine obverse and
Extremely Fine reverse (VF/EF).  This interesting coin is missing five of the
letters in the motto (IN ___ _E TRU_T).
The reverse has some weak letters,
notably the 2nd "S" in STATES and the "C" in AMERICA from filled dies.
Close-ups are taken before the coin is placed in the holder to help you make
your own grade determination.
The coin pictured is the coin you receive.
